About Jiafang li

李佳芳,自六岁起师从吕亚琼老师学习琵琶,并先后受到著名琵琶演奏家和教育家吴玉霞,著名琵琶演奏家、中央音乐学院副教授兰维薇老师的指导。跟随其师创立的“琼音琵琶乐团”先后在北京市,全国和世界范围屡获殊荣。

2017年荣获北京市阳光少年儿童艺术节民族器乐合奏金奖。

2017年荣获第三届“敦煌杯”中国琵琶菁英展演重奏类 非职业重奏组金奖。

2018年荣获第三届“辽源杯” 琵琶艺术展演活动 非职业重奏组金奖。

2018年荣获日本·大阪神户国际艺术节琵琶独奏 银奖。

2018年荣获日本·大阪神户国际艺术节琵琶齐奏 金奖。

2019年荣获北京市阳光少年儿童艺术节民族器乐合奏金奖。

2019年荣获云冈杯国际民族乐器展演琵琶合奏组 金奖。

2023年荣获白玉兰国际音乐节二等奖。

2023年荣获CCTV“龙腾虎跃”网络春晚华艺十佳演员称号。

她广泛地活跃在悉尼的各种演奏和文化交流活动中,以“澳大利亚琵琶协会”成员和“悉尼音乐学院中乐团”成员的身份在悉尼音乐学院、悉尼大学、新南威尔士大学、西悉尼大学、新南威尔士州立美术馆、朱雀画廊、谊园等众多文化艺术场所受邀演出。她热爱琵琶教学工作,对待学生耐心细心,并且擅长因材施教,根据每个学生的不同条件探索和运用不同的教学法,广受学生好评。

LI Jiafang 李佳芳is a pipa player and educator based in Sydney. She started her pipa journey at the age of six with her mentor Yaqiong Lv吕亚琼 and has mastered the art of the pipa under the guidance of distinguished mentors with Yuxia Wu吴玉霞 and Weiwei Lan兰微薇. She was a member of qiongyin pipa ensemble in Beijing and has won multiple gold awards (first prize) in domestic and international music competitions.

In 2017, she won the gold award for national instrumental ensemble at the Beijing Sunshine Youth Children's Art Festival and the gold award for non-professional ensemble at the third "Dunhuang Cup" Chinese Pipa Elite Showcase. In 2018, she received the gold award for non-professional ensemble at the third "Liaoyuan Cup" Pipa Art Performance, the silver award for pipa solo, and the gold award for pipa ensemble at the Osaka Kobe International Arts Festival in Japan. In 2019, she won the gold award at the Beijing Sunshine Youth Children's Art Festival and the gold award for pipa ensemble at the Yungang Cup International Ethnic Musical Instrument Performance. In 2023, she received the second prize at the Magnolia International Music Festival and was titled one of the top ten performers at the CCTV "Dragon and Tiger Leap" online Spring Festival Gala.

She arrived in Sydney at the age of seventeen and was introduced to Dr. Lulu Liu刘璐 in 2021. Since then, she has been actively engaged in a variety of music performing and cultural exchange events all around Sydney. She has performed in Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Chau Chak Wing Museum in University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, University of West Sydney, New South Wales Art Gallery, Vermillion Art Gallery, ABC Ultimo, Chinese Garden of Friendship and many other cultural or commercial places. She is a member of Australian Pipa Association and has been closely working with SCM Chinese Music Ensemble as an enrolled student and as a guest performer. She is the former principle of plucked strings in SCM Chinese music ensemble and has been honourably invited to be the MC for the concert on May 21, 2023. She has been teaching pipa for one year and currently has nine pipa students. She is passionate about pipa teaching, patient and attentive with her students, skilled in adapting her teaching methods to suit each student's unique needs, and highly praised by her students.
