About Angie Liu

Liu Xi (Angie), is a young professional Chinese Guzheng musician.

Angie began her Guzheng training at 8 years old. She graduated from the Xing Hai Conservatory of Music in China, under the tutelage of well regarded Guzheng Professors Xie Yingying , Song Tingting and Wu Li.

In 2009 Angie won silver in the professional Guzheng performing category at the International Guzheng competition in Hong Kong. She won a gold medal for Guzheng performance at the 2012 Star of Hua Xia, and performed as the Guzheng Soloist at 2013 Chinese New Year concert in the XingHai concert hall. In 2018 she joined the Meya Girls Chinese Music Band as a professional Guzheng musician, and she teaches Guzheng at the Meya conservatory of Chinese Music. In 1st and 2rd Feb 2019 She has been invited as the GuZheng Soloist in the Lunar New Year celebration in Sydney Opera House. In 17th Feb, she was participated in the accompaniment of Hunan Satellite TV's "Mango Long Reader" Chinese New Year Poetry Reading.

In 19th Feb 2019,she was invited to New Zealand  in the 3rd Golden Ribbon concert of China-New Zealand International Cultural & art Festival, serving as a guzheng solo and ensemble.

8岁习筝，毕业于中国星海音乐学院古筝专业。

师从著名古筝演奏家谢迎英，宋婷婷和吴莉教授。

现任于芈雅中乐学院古筝教师。

2009年参加香港首届国际古筝比赛获得专业组银奖。

2012年参加中国华夏之星比赛获得古筝金奖。

2013年于中国星海音乐厅春节音乐晚会上担任古筝独奏。

2018年代表悉尼科技大学出演两岸中华学子中秋联欢会。

同年，受聘于悉尼芈雅中乐学院担任古筝老师，传授中国音乐在悉尼。

2019年受邀于悉尼交响乐团在澳洲新年音乐会担任古筝独奏成员。

受邀湖南公共卫视参加湖南公共频道的节目录制《芒果朗读者》古筝演奏嘉宾。
